Eleanor Wilkinson
Lived Experience Practitioner
As a female psychology student with first-hand experience as a mental health inpatient for an eating disorder, I bring a unique perspective to the field of healthcare consultancy and training. My journey through the complexities of mental health has not only deepened my understanding of psychological theories but has also equipped me with invaluable insights into the lived experiences of individuals navigating similar challenges. This personal history informs my approach to consultancy, allowing me to advocate for patient-centred care and highlight the importance of empathy and support within clinical environments.
By leveraging my experiences alongside my educational background, I aim to contribute to the development of training programmes that equip healthcare professionals with the tools they need to provide compassionate, informed, and effective support to those struggling with mental health issues. My goal is to foster a more inclusive healthcare system that recognises the complexities of mental health and prioritises holistic treatment approaches.
